Fabric Raises $33M to Develop Cutting-Edge Cryptography Chips
The startup's new VPU chips aim to revolutionize cryptographic processing, offering faster and more cost-effective solutions.
Fabric Cryptography, a hardware-focused startup, has secured $33 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Blockchain Capital and 1kx. The funds will be used to develop their innovative "verifiable processing unit" (VPU), designed to enhance the efficiency of cryptographic workloads. The VPU, a specialized silicon chip, breaks down cryptographic algorithms into mathematical components, significantly boosting processing speed and reducing costs. This new technology is expected to be as transformative for cryptography as Nvidia's GPUs have been for AI. Production of the VPU chips is slated to begin later this year.
