Ledger Introduces Innovative "Flex" Wallet with Touchscreen Technology
Ledger's second product of 2024 aims to enhance cryptocurrency self-custody through advanced security features.
Ledger, a leading crypto wallet provider, has launched its second product of 2024, the "Ledger Flex," designed to simplify the self-custody of cryptocurrencies. The Flex wallet, like the previously launched Stax wallet, features touchscreen technology, aiming to "redefine the experience of self-custody," according to CEO Pascal Gauthier.
In addition to the Flex wallet, Ledger introduced the Security Key app, which replaces traditional passwords with cryptographic passkey login systems. This app securely stores private keys linked to the user's seed phrase, ensuring access to coins if the wallet is lost.
The 2022 collapse of major crypto firms highlighted the importance of self-custody, yet many users have struggled with the responsibility of managing their own seed phrases. Ledger’s new products address these concerns by integrating familiar security tools, making it easier for users to manage their crypto assets securely.
Gauthier emphasized that these innovations are part of Ledger's commitment to enhancing user experience and security in the crypto space.
