Michael Saylor Predicts Bitcoin to Hit $13M by 2045

Bitcoin's potential surge could see it represent 7% of global wealth, according to Saylor.

Bitcoin enthusiast and MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor has made a bold prediction about the future of Bitcoin (BTC), forecasting its price to reach $13 million by 2045. Speaking at the Bitcoin 2024 conference, Saylor highlighted that Bitcoin's current market cap stands at $1.3 trillion, merely 0.1% of global wealth. To achieve his prediction, Bitcoin would need to deliver an average annual return of 29% over the next 21 years. Saylor envisions Bitcoin’s market cap soaring to $280 trillion, accounting for 7% of global wealth.

In his optimistic scenario, Bitcoin could surge to $49 million, representing 22% of global wealth, while his conservative estimate suggests a value of $3 million, covering 2% of global wealth. Under Saylor's guidance, MicroStrategy has amassed 226,331 Bitcoins over the past four years, currently valued at approximately $15 billion, which is about 80% above the cumulative purchase price.
